Division Series Outlook

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Boston Red Sox vs. Chicago White Sox
Chicago survived Cleveland's charge and still won 99 games. Red Sox aren't as strong on the mound but still have the guns. Red Sox in 4.

New York Yankees vs. Los Angeles Angels
Yankees had to fight for this AL East crown. Angels have handled New York recently, but this time the magic won't be enough. Yankees in 5.

NATIONAL LEAGUE
San Diego Padres vs. St. Louis Cardinals
San Diego ragged because of its 82-80 record, but Padres can pitch. St. Louis has been cruising since the All-Star break. Cardinals in 4.

Houston Astros vs. Atlanta Braves
Always conventional wisdom to dismiss Atlanta in the playoffs. We may have to do it again because Clemens, Pettitte and Oswalt are too much. Astros in 5.
