Tom Brady

2008 NFL Season Predictions

These are sure to go wrong, but:
AFC East
1. New England 12-4 (Doesn't the run have to end sometime?)
2. NY Jets 9-7 (It's one and done for Brett Favre)
3. Buffalo 6-10 (Those Toronto preseason games felt good, eh?)
4. Miami 5-11 (I think we're all forgetting Bill Parcells isn't coaching)

AFC South
1. Indianapolis 12-4 (Preseason? Peyton Manning don't need no stinking preseason)
2. Tennessee 9-7 (Did you know Jeff Fisher has been coaching this team since November 1994?)
3. Jacksonville 8-8 (A couple of playoff teams always fall off)
4. Houston 7-9 (Team could be better with a worse record)

AFC Central
1. Pittsburgh 10-6 (Steeler fans won't take many more home playoff losses)
2. Cleveland 10-6 (Battling Pittsburgh for the division title? Nice)
3. Cincinnati 7-9 (As usual, nothing going right for the Bengals)
4. Baltimore 5-11 (Same with the Ravens)

AFC West
1. San Diego 11-5 (Shawne Merriman should sit out the season)
2. Denver 9-7 (Is Mike Shanahan coach for life?)
3. Kansas City 6-10 (Chiefs lost their last nine games in 2007)
4. Oakland 3-13 (JaMarcus Russell should get plenty of chances)

Wild cards: Cleveland, Denver. AFC Champion: Indianapolis.

NFC East
1. Dallas 13-3 (Back to normal - Super Bowl or bust for 'Boys)
2. Philadelphia 10-6 (Andy Reid's last run?)
3. NY Giants 8-8 (Too many hits on defense for defending champs)
4. Washington 7-9 (Season of adjustment with coaching change)

NFC South
1. New Orleans 11-5 (Teams figured out Saints' offense last season)
2. Carolina 9-7 (John Fox needs a winner to keep his job)
3. Tampa Bay 7-9 (Jeff Garcia has to show his age eventually)
4. Atlanta 4-12 (Falcons' fans have already decided not to show up)

NFC Central
1. Minnesota 10-6 (This is almost a default pick)
2. Chicago 8-8 (Forget the quarterback - Bears' running game is nowhere to be found)
3. Green Bay 7-9 (It will be Aaron Rodgers' fault no matter what)
4. Detroit 5-11 (What else is new?)

NFC West
1. Seattle 11-5 (Another default pick)
2. Arizona 7-9 (Warner, Leinart, Warner, Leinart, etc.)
3. San Francisco 6-10 (Mike Nolan and Alex Smith could be gone after '08)
4. St. Louis 4-12 (How'd the Rams get so bad so quickly?)

Wild cards: Philadelphia, Carolina. NFC Champion: Dallas.

Super Bowl XLIII: Indianapolis over Dallas.
